Pet Health Insurance

The health of you pet is undoubtedly high on your list of priorities. Our pets are like our children. The debate over rather or not to purchase health insurance for our pets is a serious one. Make sure you way the pros and cons before deciding. Of course there are bonuses to having health insurance. However, the downside is the fact that most insurance companies make you pay your vet bill out of pocket, and wait to be reimbursed. Which could mean serious set backs for a lot of us.

If we could afford to pay out of pocket, most of us wouldn't worry about getting health insurance in the first place. However not having it is not the best idea either. Suppose your pet becomes unexpectedly or even worst chronically ill and the bill is in the thousands of dollars. Are you ready to choose between your pets life and your financial stability? You always want to keep a watchful eye out when picking a health insurance company. Many of them are not upfront about what is covered by their insurance. You would be surprised about some of the things that aren't covered. Like breeding or any maternity related expenses, preventable illnesses. Suppose your puppy comes down with parvo and you didn't get him vaccinated for the virus, then your insurance company will not cover it because you could have prevented it. Imagine paying for health insurance your years just to hear the words "denied" by your pet insurance company.
